| Antique Print Monkey Ape ArtExquisite high quality steel engraving from one of Victorian England's most well loved animal painters, Edwin Landseer. From an extremely rare British book. Entitled, "The Marmozettes", this beautiful, high quality, engraving features two marmozette monkeys perched on top of the most amazing pineapple. "The Marmozette, or Brazilian monkey, when full grown, is from seven to eight inches long, and the tail generally measures nearly a foot... These two pretty animals represented here sitting on a large pineapple are intently watching a wasp which has settled just before them, and of which they seem anxious to make a prize. The expressions of the faces are in the artist's best style. The picture was painted for Queen Victoria and hangs at Osborne. (1880). It was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1842."
