| Antique print - Gorgeous Owls in Oak Tree & Moon Silhouette 1892A lovely image from a rare British Victorian JournalAn exquisite image of a group of owls perched in a gnarled old oak tree, taking tea. One has a teapot in his claw and is pouring into another's cup. A basket of nuts or possibly apples sits by for nibbles. Of course the owls' morning tea is in the middle of the night! The bare branches of the tree itself are dramatically silhouetted against the night sky with the full moon shining behind - an absolutely wonderfully detailed image by A L Bowley - title piece to a story - "The Brown Owl" - a lovely period illustration. Mounted on a stunning jet black mount with a slight sheen. |
