A lovely image from a rare vintage British Children's book

A beautiful image of Father Christmas (Santa Claus) striding along with a huge sack of toys on his back, with fairies carrying apples and other goodies for the children. A wonderful period image In typical art nouveau style - although there is no signature, this is almost certainly by the wonderful Florence Harrison.Please note this is the front free endpaper from a children's annual.

(Emma) Florence Harrison was an English Art Nouveau and Pre-Raphaelite illustrator of poetry and children's books.

Very Good - Some Marking
there is some dinting caused by fingering of the print and some slight smudging and brown spotting. There are a couple of surface crinkles which are barely noticeable. This is the front free endpaper of a children's annual and has a slight crease running down the very right hand edge where it was attached to the spine. This is not too visible. This does not detract from the beauty of the print.

A Note on condition:
Minor imperfections are to be expected from antique prints due to their age and in many cases this does not affect the appearance of the print. Any blemishes that are noteworthy are described and shown in the picture where possible.
