A beautiful print from an extremely rare vintage British Children's book.

A really beautiful illustration to the poem "What are Little Boys Made Of?" A little boy is being catapulted out of a little boy making machine while a woman waits to catch him in her apron. Various workmen are passing up the ingredients to the machine - "Snips and Snails and (sadly) Puppy Dogs' Tails". Thankfully the dogs seem to be treated kindly, but do look slightly disconcerted to discover their tails are missing... - a wonderfully imaginative and detailed green tinted period illustration by A C Sandy - one of a pair - see "What are Little Girls Made Of?"

Very Good - Slight Marking
There is some slight ink marks to the very top left of the image - this occurred at time of printing . The paper is the thick porous kind which was popular during this period. This is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of the print.
