| Antique Print Scottish ArtExquisite high quality steel engraving from one of Victorian England's most well loved animal painters, Edwin Landseer. From an extremely rare British book. Entitled, "Highland Music", this lovely engraving shows a Scotsman in his kilt, playing the bagpipes, perched on a low stool in front of the hearth. The cottager's dogs are full of life and humour - one is serenading along with the pipes, the two smaller dogs want to know what the noise is all about, and the wolfhound looks placidly on. A beautiful black faced dog leans his muzzle on the deerhound's shoulder, and shyly gazes straight into your eyes - absolutely wonderful. (Sir Edwin Landseer, R.A. Pinxt - H. S. Beckwith, Sculpt) |
