A beautiful colour illustration from an early and scarce book of Nursery Rhymes by the much loved, Margaret Tarrant, a prolific English illustrator and friend of Cicely Mary Barker. She was popular during the 1920’s and 1930’s for her romantic depiction of children, fairies and animals.

A wonderful, early illustration of the classic fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood. The little girl is shocked by the wolf masquerading as her grandmother - 'What Big Teeth You Have, Grandma'… Beautiful Colouring.

There is some very slight marking caused by fingering of the print and some slight surface smudging which is only visible if held to the light This is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of the print.
