A beautiful print from an extremely rare vintage British Children's book.

A really beautiful illustration to the poem "What are Little Girls Made Of?" - A little girl is perched on top of a mushroom that has been pushed up through the ground by the pixies that have made her from "Sugar and Spice and All things Nice". The wee folk are hidden among the roots of a gnarled tree and are still stirring the pot waiting for extra ingredients to arrive in wheelbarrows and cart - a wonderfully imaginative and detailed green tinted period illustration by A C Sandy - one of a pair - see "What are Little Boys Made Of?"

Very Good - Slight Marking
There is some slight surface marking to the print which is barely visible and a slight scratch to the bottom left hand corner. The paper is the thick porous kind which was popular during this period and has a very slightly smudged look. This is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of the print.

A Note on condition:
Minor imperfections are to be expected from antique prints due to their age and in many cases this does not affect the appearance of the print. Any blemishes that are noteworthy are described and shown in the picture where possible.
