| | Antique Print Brussels Griffon Griffon Bruxellois Dog ArtA book illustration of a beautiful British dog breed photo. The print has a slightly faded look due to the reproduction process - which actually adds charm and gives an antique feel to the print. A lovely example of the Rough Red Griffon Bruxellois 'This dog is of a definite Terrier type and is classified under four separate headings, namely, the Black and Tan Rough, the Red Rough, the Black Rough and the Red Smooth. This type of dog was known on the Continent several hundred years ago, but has only been known in this country as a breed during the last half century (1934). Its origin is not properly understood but it obvious, on comparison, that the breed has something in common with the Pug dog. The average weight of the Griffon is 3lb. And this will give some indication as to its size. |
