A lovely deep night blue and yellow tinted line illustration by Arthur Rackham - dated 1902 from a rare children's annual. I haven't been able to discover anything else about them so they may be of interest to collectors.
Wonderful depiction of the Sphinx at night, with the city silhouetted in the background. A horde of cats congregate around one figure while a man in Egyptian dress is lighting a line of lamps - a really lovely image

Mounted on a stunning jet black mount with a slight sheen.

Very Good - Slight Marking
Please Note: the paper that this lovely image is printed on is quite thin. To make sure it stays at its best and doesn't pick up moisture from the atmosphere, just keep it in the plastic wrapper until you are ready to put it in its frame.
There is some slight marking caused by fingering of the print and slight surface crinkling which, because of the colouring, is not visible unless held up to the light This is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of the print.

A Note on condition:
Minor imperfections are to be expected from antique prints due to their age and in many cases this does not affect the appearance of the print. Any blemishes that are noteworthy are described and shown in the picture where possible.
