Beautiful illustration from an early and scarce edition of Lewis Carroll's timeless classic by the famous British illustrator Arthur Rackham. Alice in Wonderland must be one of Rackham's best works and he is among the best of the Alice illustrators.

This is a wonderful image of the Red Queen and entourage tripping over the servants who have been instructed to paint the roses red - exquisite colouring and detail to this rare print.

There is some slight marking caused by fingering of the print which is only really visible if held up at an angle to the light. This is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of the print.
